Facing Eviction: How Can I Legally Extend My Stay for My Daughter's Exams?

Andy Pathak
I have been staying in Thane in a rental flat since 2010. We made a third renewal notarized agreement in February 2013 for the next 11 months. In April 2013, my owner verbally informed me that he/she is planning to sell the flat as soon as possible. I agreed and requested to stay until the end of August. Meanwhile, my daughter applied for a passport and for MBBS competitive exams. Additionally, all three family members applied for an Aadhar Card.

This evening, I received shocking news that the flat has been sold, and the new owner will be moving in by the end of May. In this situation, I am willing to vacate only after my daughter's competitive exams and after the police verification for the passport, which will all be completed by or before July 31st.

I seek your valuable suggestions and advice on the legal parameters for extending the period for another four months.

With Best Regards,
Andy Pathak.

Please provide complete information regarding the forms you have submitted to the respective departments. You are required to mention both your present address and permanent address. If you have mistakenly listed your current problematic address as your permanent address, please disregard the submitted forms and submit a fresh application. Alternatively, you may request the new owner to grant you some time until the situation is resolved.

I recommend that you ensure the information provided to the departments is accurate so that your lifelong documents are correct and precise. Thank you.
