Seeking Updated List of Construction Industry Laws: Can You Help?

Hi everyone, Cite HR has been of great help to me. I have learned a lot of things which have improved my knowledge in different areas apart from HSE. Thanks once again for all your support. I have another requirement as well. Can anyone please provide me with a list of all the applicable laws for the construction industry with the latest versions?

Applicable Legal Acts for the Construction Industry

The following are the legal acts applicable to the construction industry:

1. The Factories Act, 1948 (Amended 1987 & 2001) and the State Factories Rules of respective States.
2. The Mines Act, 1952 (Amended 1984).
3. The Mines Rules, 1955 (Amended 1989).
4. The Dock Workers (Safety, Health and Welfare) Act, 1986.
5. The Dock Workers (Safety, Health and Welfare) Regulations, 1989.
6. Building and Other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment & Conditions of Service) Act, 1996.
7. Building and Other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment & Conditions of Service) Central Rules, 1998.
8. The Plantation Labour Act, 1951 & the Rules & Regulations.
9. The Building and Other Construction Workers' Welfare Cess Act, 1996 and Rules 1998.
10. The Shops and Commercial Establishment Acts enacted by respective State Governments.
11. The Workmen's Compensation Act, 1923 & Rules 1924.
12. The Maternity Benefit Act, 1961.
13. The Employees' State Insurance Act & Rules.
14. The Motor Transport Workers Act, 1961 & Rules, 1964.
15. The Electricity Act, 2003.
16. The Indian Electricity Rules, 1956.
17. The Indian Boilers Act, 1923 (Amended 1960).
18. The Indian Boilers Regulations, 1950 (Amended 1997) and Boiler Rules of various States.
