Hi Everyone,
I am working in a Private MNC for the past 2.5 years and now I have been assigned to an onsite assignment to sweden from the base office chennai for three weeks. Now I am in a situation where I had been admitted from graduate school for doing my masters and hence need to file my resignation paper 2 months from now. Now I have been came for the UAT testing phase there is clearly no training/any policy been signed for my onsite assignment specifically. I am also having 30 days of Privileged leave in my account for the CY. In that case will be able to be relieved from the company within this two months en-cashing my leaves in addition.
Thanks.

The notice period is for 2 months. Are you ready to serve it ? Leave encashment to be calculated on separation.
If you have been sent onsite, how long would be your Knowledge transfer period once you return ?
The reason to resign is genuine. However, please keep the documents from the college informing your admissions, ready. You would require to present this during your separation.

Hello,
Further to what (Cite Contribution) mentioned, suggest go thru IN DETAIL your company's HR policies w.r.t. Resignation. Many companies have slightly DIFFERENT Resignation & NP Policies for employees who are on-site.
All the Best.

It is not ethical to resign onsite, particularly making the project life cycle at risk. My suggestion is complete the current task of 3 weeks, go back to Chennai and get relieved. However, you can tender the resignation request now itself, so that company can search for a replacement ASAP.
