Why Do Companies Hesitate to Hire Fresh Graduates Like Me in HR Roles?

Dear Senior Members, I'm a fresh MBA final year graduate (HR Graduate). I became aware of this site when I was looking for my final year project title, and since then, I log in daily to see the popular posts on this site.

Why Do Companies Hesitate to Hire Fresh Graduates?

My doubt is: Why do companies hesitate to hire fresh graduates? The reason is very annoying; officials tell the fresh graduates that they don't have any past experience. (CSR is neglected)

I completed my B.E in 2010 and worked as an engineering staff in a manufacturing company. It took 6 months to get that job after completing B.E. Next month, I'll be completing my MBA course. How can I eliminate these difficulties?

My Academic and Professional Background

I have above 70% in 10th (74%), 12th (79%), B.E (E.E.E - 70%), and in MBA (71%). I have good communication and analytical skills, and good knowledge in computers. I completed a 4-month project in HR, and I believe I have good practical knowledge in all HR laws and activities. I don't want to become a Core HR recruiter. I'm looking for an HR general executive position.

It is not that all freshers are not getting jobs. You need to be with the right people, at the right place, and at the right time. When things do not happen, we need to make them happen. You may try the following suggestions to make it happen.

Suggestions for Fresh Graduates

1) Try to make your internship with a company not look like an academic ritual, as is the case with most MBAs. Make it speak something about you and the project you have undertaken so as to induce the employer to offer a chance to you.

2) Try to network with the right people like your college alumni who are currently employed or by joining professional clubs where you happen to meet professionals so that they can refer you when there is an opportunity. It is said, ordinary people work, smart people network.

3) Try to acquire some extra skills relevant to your career by doing short certification programs because when all are equal, some are more equal.

4) Try to grab the first opportunity even if the establishment is small and the package not attractive as it is necessary to have a beginning. The key is to earn your first penny and the pounds will take care of themselves. Many MBAs may not rightly use their discretion and look for a flashy start and lose an opportunity to make a beginning.

5) Prepare well for the interview regarding your subject and summer project/internship, etc.
