Hydraulic Leaks and Safety Concerns: How Do You Handle Equipment Failures on Site?

Please see the attached unsafe photos taken on April 7th, 2013, at my site. I stopped all operations immediately and removed the equipment for prompt repairs. If you encounter similar situations at your site, please be vigilant and address them promptly. I hope this information proves beneficial to all.

Nice to see your updates on our forum. Let me ask some questions regarding the second picture. Did the operator perform a daily checklist for the crane? Why did the operator stop the work when the hydraulic system was leaking? Where is your site supervisor? What actions have been taken regarding this matter - only stopping the work and repairing the hydraulic leak?

Future Prevention

One more question: How can you prevent this from happening in the future?

FYI, the project currently running is delayed, and the deadline is approaching. Consequently, they are not taking safety issues seriously. My response is that I personally halted the operation before the rigging could commence at the job site. I had inspected the crane beforehand, which enabled me to identify this issue. I have also informed the others to adhere to the safety rules.
