How Do You Measure Training Effectiveness in Your Organization? Seeking Your Insights

Hi Abhisek,

There is a tool that has been widely used to measure the effectiveness of any training interventions. It is known as Donald Kirkpatrick's model, which consists of 4 levels. I am attaching a PowerPoint presentation on the same.

However, there has been an addition of one more level - the ROI Calculation of training. You can find similar presentations on ROI calculation online.

You can assess Training Effectiveness as follows:

1. Training Effectiveness on Trainees:
Conduct a pre and post-training test. Evaluate the test papers and make an analysis.

This will help in not only understanding the effectiveness of the training on the trainees but also in understanding the Trainer's effectiveness too.

2. Another methodology would be to administer a training feedback form which will enable you to arrive at an analysis on:
a) Trainer's effectiveness
b) Course material
c) Duration
d) Ambience
and so on.

Hi Guys,

I am working as an AM in a corporate Training function with a BPO. I would like some inputs on creating a Training Budget Module, for example, components of a Training Budget. I am also looking at various methods of calculating Training cost-effectiveness other than ROI.

Members, especially in the Training Manager role, who deal with Training budgets and also create business proposals for budget allocation - Do Help :)
