Employee Resigned After 357 Days: Is He Eligible for EL Encashment?

Venkatakiran_y
One of the employees worked for 357 days during his tenure and then resigned from the job. The tenure includes holidays, leaves, and other factors. My query is, during the final settlement, is he eligible for EL encashment or not? Please advise me.

The holidays and leave are to be included if they were availed with wages.

Leftover EL should be encashed or can be adjusted against any notice period recovery.

Thank you.

Yes, you are eligible for EL credit to your account, and the EL for the leaving year is proportionate to the days worked in that year at the rate of one day for every 20 days of work. You can claim this in your Full and Final Settlement when leaving the job.
