Mandatory Aadhaar Submission for EPFO: How Are You Handling This Requirement?

It is mandatory to submit the Aadhaar card details for all employees to EPFO. Please find the attachment of the latest notification received from PF Office - Jalandhar.

The Government of India has clarified that it will take some time to issue Aadhaar Cards. Therefore, it is not necessary at this time to submit Aadhaar Card details.

Dear Sai Kishore, In the above attachments, it is clear that the Aadhaar number is not mandatory for PF. Then, quoting the above circular and annexure, how can you conclude that the Aadhaar number is mandatory for PF?

Dear Abbas.P.S, We have received an email along with a circular from the Regional PF Commissioner to submit Aadhaar card details along with bank account details within 15 days of receiving the communication.

Aadhaar Number is not mandatory. You can furnish all other details mentioned in the annexure. At the end of the annexure, two samples are given wherein you can follow Case No. 2 without Aadhaar Number.
