The wage ceiling under the Payment of Wages Act is already Rs 18,000/- w.e.f. 9/12. The same under the Employees' Compensation Act is already Rs 8,000/pm. However, what you mentioned as a proposed amendment does not align with these facts.

Supplementing what Varghese has written, I would like to show some more amendments that have already taken place:

- The wage ceiling under Section 2(s) of the ID Act is Rs. 10,000.
- The wage ceiling under the Bonus Act is Rs. 10,000; those earning up to Rs. 10,000 are eligible for a bonus. However, the bonus will be calculated based on a maximum salary of Rs. 3,500 (previously Rs. 2,500).
- Casual workers are covered under the Employees' (Workmen's) Compensation Act.
- The minimum compensation for death cases has been set at Rs. 120,000, and for total disablement, it is Rs. 140,000.
- Funeral expenses are Rs. 5,000.

Additionally, the column "Employee Friendly Rating" may be either removed or rewritten. This information is necessary not only for employers but also for employees, for whom the rating may seem unacceptable. It is true that any amendment to labor law may be viewed negatively by employers since these laws are designed for the benefit of employees rather than employers.
