Confused About My PF Claim: How Can It Be Settled If I Never Claimed It?

Hi, I submitted the PF settlement form after a gap of 5 years and received a letter stating that the claim has already been settled. I recently submitted the forms for the first time, so how can I show that the claim has already been settled? Please help.

I would suggest you visit the PF office personally and meet the concerned clerk. If things do not get sorted out there, please approach the PF Commissioner. Sometimes, such errors do occur as there are numerous accounts to be handled by a single clerk.
