Often, it is seen that visitors to this forum come, read the queries posted, and some respond while others just pass by. Let's see in what roles we are performing our duties in the HR arena in the UAE. I would suggest everyone provide a 2-line brief about themselves, and I am sure the passersby would be happy to see such a strong community with diverse functions in HR that exist in the UAE.

Starting with Myself

I am involved in Training and Development, handling the complete T&D function of a Hydraulic Engineering & Service Company in the UAE. We are a team of 5 people in our department taking care of PR, REC, ADMIN, COMP & BEN, and T&D.

So... who is next?

Don't be disheartened. I am working as a Trainer in the UAE. I have experience in various areas such as soft skills, VnA, behavioral training, English language training, content development, retail training, and communication training. Currently, I am employed at a top retail company.

Could someone please help me with how payroll is run in Dubai and how WPS comes into play? I have been looking all over for information regarding the same but unfortunately can only find payroll software vendor info, which I don't want. Please help.

It's a pleasure to introduce myself to this forum. I have 7 years of experience working in different industries such as BPO, Recruitment Consultancy, IT/ITES Enabled Services (India), Inflight Catering (Shj. Airport), and Logistics (DAFZA). Currently, I am in the Real Estate industry. My contributions in these industries were in the HR and Admin Departments at various positions. The most fascinating job for me was when I joined the Logistics industry, where I succeeded in setting up the HR and Admin Department all alone and running operations not only in the UAE but also in other GCC countries.

I will be happy to share my knowledge with other group members whenever required.

Introduction to My Professional Background

It's good to know that CiteHR is active in the UAE too; it's a great feeling. I landed here on a visit visa and am staying with my relatives. I have a total of 10 years of corporate experience, and for the last 3 and a half years, I was running a recruitment company in India. I have worked with companies like Tech Mahindra, Vodafone, and Patni, mainly in talent acquisition and, to a lesser extent, as an HR Generalist. I have applied to all matching openings on the largest websites, such as BAYT.COM, GULFTALENT.COM, and CHARTERHOUSE.COM, but there has been no call. I am ready to start on a low salary. If any of you can help me, I would be thankful.
