Struggling with PF Withdrawal Due to Employer Signature Issues – Need Guidance

Dear Seniors, In the years 2010 and 2011, I worked with a top-notch MNC company on third-party payrolls. Due to some family emergencies, I had to resign from my position to attend to my father, who had a heart stroke and hernia. I communicated this situation to both my principal employer and my actual (contract) employer. However, they did not relieve me and attempted to withhold my salary, leading me to seek assistance from the labor court (with the support and guidance from the members of CiteHR), and I successfully obtained my dues.

Issue with PF Withdrawal

Subsequently, every time I applied for a withdrawal from the PF, my application was rejected, citing discrepancies in the employer's signature. It has been a long time now, and I am perplexed. I even tried transferring the funds to a new account, but my friends advised against it as they mentioned it would be a lengthy process.

Therefore, I kindly request the seniors and legal members to provide guidance on the next steps and procedures to resolve this matter.

If the employer's signature is not tallying, the form can be resubmitted with the proper signature. You are entitled to get your PF amount at any cost. If the signatures are not tallying, it's the employer's fault. You can contact the local PF office, provide them with whatever is required, and they will surely intervene and assist you with your work.

If the employer's signature is not authentic and does not match, you can register your grievance for the same on the EPFO (Govt. of India) website under the employee option. You will definitely get a positive result within 15 days.

Thank you for the comments. I have tried all means at my level but to no avail. Lastly, when I registered the grievance with the EPFO website under wide No. ROHBD/E/2012/11628, they replied asking me to submit my PF account number. I immediately responded via email and also provided my comments on the portal.

The last communication occurred on 20th December 2012, and thus far, none of them have bothered to reply back. I kindly request you to let me know how I can proceed further.

Dear Bosses, please suggest whether I may change my signature at the time of PF withdrawal. I have failed to follow my old signature. My administrator advised me that the employee's signature doesn't matter, only the employer's does.

If you fail to follow your old signature, then you should request the employer (administrator) to send information to the concerned PF office regarding the change in signature. Otherwise, continue to use your current authorized signature.
