As being into the training department, you want to contribute into HSE dept. for making daily EHS new letter. First of all the point of making daily EHS Newsletter sounds something strange to me. If it's once in a month or quarter, then it sounds good... However as it is your internal company issues, you may go ahead..
Now to the point, being into the training department, you can provide the following information to your safety department:
1. Number of Training organized on EHS Topics
2. Some good photographs of the training
3. Training evaluational overall scores.
4. Best Trainer and Trainee based on the training evaluations (Pre & Post Test, Trainer Feedback)
I think this is something which a training department can contribute into an EHS Newsletter.
