I am writing to request the latest circular from you. According to the new circular, ESIC will now deduct up to 21000 gross salary starting from 1st October 2016.

We tried to find the new ESIC circular on the [Employees' State Insurance Corporation](http://www.esic.nic.in) website, but it was not available. We require a copy of the new circular for our records.

Please assist with this request at your earliest convenience.

Sir, I think, the issue regarding the enhancement of the wage ceiling under the ESI Act, 1948 has still not been finalized, and no intention notification has been issued so far. If possible, you can confirm the position either from ESIC or from the Ministry of Labour & Employment, Central Govt.

Please share the new circular of ESIC starting from 1st October 2016. Wages have been increased from 15000 to 21000.

Sir, the Central Government has now issued a draft intention notification regarding the enhancement of the wage ceiling to Rs. 21,000 under the ESI Act, 1948. A copy of the Gazette Notification dated 06-10-2016 is attached herewith for the kind information of members of this forum. It is, however, submitted that this is an intention notification, and it is expected that the appropriate government will decide as per the contents mentioned in the notification.

Sir, the wage ceiling under the ESI Act, 1948 has been enhanced with effect from 01/01/2017 to Rs. 21,000 per month via the Central Government notification dated 22/12/2016.
