If any skilled person resigned from his services with effect from Nov-12, he is eligible to receive his Minimum Bonus (Rs 2042/- for 07 months) for the period of 2012-13. The company is denying this by stating that the current year's bonus has not been declared. Therefore, the same will be paid after the declaration, around the Diwali occasion. I want to know if this is as per the provisions of the act. How long will he have to wait for his small bonus amount?

My question pertains to a situation where an individual was working in Delhi and, due to some reason, resigned from his services and then permanently shifted to his hometown, like Nagaland. For him to receive his small bonus amount, he will have to come from Nagaland to Delhi, incurring a huge expense. Is this justified? Is there no provision in the act that all outstanding dues should be paid in full and final settlement?
