Is SAP Training Enough for Landing a Consultant Role Without Certification?

Hello everyone, I'm pursuing an MBA in marketing and finance. I wanted to know if SAP training and knowledge alone will be enough for me to get a job as an SAP consultant because SAP certification costs nearly 2 lakhs. Kindly let me know how to proceed with my SAP career.

Only certification will not help you in getting a good job. Most consulting companies require good experience supported by a certificate.

If you go for training with a certification test, it will cost around 4 Lakh. Only the certification test charges are 30K. Originally, the certification can only be issued by Siemens. I don't have any idea about Chennai.

This is Venkatraman. It will cost 4 Lac with Siemens, NIIT, and other certified institutes. SAP certification costs around 75,000. Wherever you do SAP, the certificate is issued only by SAP Germany. My suggestion is to try doing SAP in a small institute to receive proper training. The advantage is that you can perform various tasks there without any time constraints. In Siemens or NIIT, the course duration is only 30 days. I am not able to understand how people grasp the entire application and start working within 30 days.

You can have a pirated version for the cost of 1,100. I have even installed SAP ECC 6.0. After adequate training and understanding SAP, Cognizant Technology Solutions hire people with working knowledge in SAP. You can obtain certification after two or three years of successful implementation, and then you can transition to a larger organization.
