Notice Period - Professional Tax

Hi Seniors,
Request you to clarify on the notice period if payble from employee side.
I have left the company without 1 month notice period, now they are asking me to pay the same till then my final settlement and PF been held.
My CTC was 28000 but net was 23190/- after deducting medical claim of Rs.1250, professional tax Rs.200 and PF deduction of 3360/-.
Now the company is asking me to pay 28000/- please clarify why should i have to pay for the other components too when i have already left the company.

Dear Member,
if u r confirmed emp then u should give one month notie pay (notice pay mention in appointment letter) or u r in probetion then u need not give one month notice pay.
u should give them one month Basic salary other componant should not include in notice pay.
