This is for your kind information that I was employed in an E-commerce company (H.O. Delhi) in Kolkata as an HR Executive for 11 months. Unfortunately, the company suddenly decided to close down the Kolkata branch and asked me to resign over the telephone within 15 days and look for a different job. I sent my resignation letter as requested by the company and began searching for a new job. Upon receiving my resignation letter, the company asked me to surrender all office documents and exit, which I complied with immediately.
It has been one and a half months since then, and the company has withheld my last month's salary along with the full and final settlement. Despite several telephonic follow-ups, the company has not paid me the outstanding amount nor compensated me for this sudden unemployment. I am currently unemployed. How can I claim compensation? Since there has been no communication from my former employer, what should be my next course of action?
Regards.
