Struggling to Get My PF Amount Credited: Who Should I Contact for Help?

I applied for my PF amount in Feb-2007 to Maharashtra [Bandra], and I received a letter from their office last month stating that the cheques of my PF amount have been sent to the bank as given by me. However, my PF amount has still not been credited to my account. I have enquired with the bank, but still no response from them. I called up those people in Maharashtra, and they said that they have sent the cheques so that it will be credited to the bank.

It's been nearly 1 and a half months, and it's still not credited. Can you please guide me on whom to contact to get my PF amount and what the procedures are?

Do you have the details of the cheque from the PF office? If yes, please visit your bank and inquire about the status of the mentioned cheque. If you do not receive a positive response, you should lodge your grievance with the Regional PF Commissioner either through registered post or in person. If you choose to file the complaint in person, remember to obtain a receipt of the complaint on the duplicate copy from the PF office.

Yes, I have the cheque number with me. I enquired about it at the bank, but there was no positive response. Since I stay in Bangalore and cannot go in person, please guide me on how to register with the Regional PF Commissioner through registered post.

Please obtain a photocopied PF intimation letter regarding the dispatch of the cheque and write a complaint to the Regional PF Commissioner, attaching this copy. Remember to keep the receipt of the registered post and a copy of the complaint letter safe with you for future reference.
