Seeking RC Logo Audit Checklist and RC 14001: 2008 Standards for Chemical Plants

Dear All, I believe there are many experienced professionals from a Chemical Plant background in our Citehr EHS forum. Can anyone provide the "RC Logo audit" checklist or a list of basic requirements for the successful completion of this audit for any chemical company?

Indian Chemical Council (ICC) is a premier institute in India, encouraging chemical industries to undertake Responsible Care initiatives. "RC Logo audit" is something offered by M/s Indian Chemical Council. It focuses on all the seven codes mentioned in my initial query.

RC14001® Technical Specification (2008 Edition)

The RC14001® Technical Specification (2008 edition) combines the elements of the American Chemistry Council's (ACC) Responsible Care® initiative with those of the Environmental Management Systems—Specifications With Guidance for Use Standard, ISO 14001, adopted by the International Organization For Standardization ("ISO") in 1996 and amended in 2004. It enables a company to obtain, through an application and audit process, a certification that its management system conforms to both the ISO 14001 and RC14001 requirements.

Really a good point for discussion and learning. It is indeed a tough audit conducted by ICC. We were awarded the RC-Logo in June 2012 for our company.

You cannot apply for a single unit if you have other units worldwide. This requirement applies to the entire company. The audit will be conducted for any unit as determined by ICC. They may conduct a mock drill during the audit, which could occur during the night shift.

In India, there are a total of 102 companies that are signatories to the RC Logo. However, only 16 companies are authorized to use the RC Logo as they have undergone the necessary audit. We are the 16th company in India to achieve this status since June 2012, valid for three years. After three years, we undergo a reaudit.
