Is Registering Under the Shops & Establishments Act Mandatory for Our Gurugram Office?

Hi,

We are an international company with a branch office in Gurugram. We have approximately 15-20 employees working in the office. Is it mandatory to register under the Shops & Establishments Act? If yes, how should we proceed, and what are the mandatory requirements as per labor law?

Yes, it is mandatory. For this, you should contact the concerned labor authorities of Gurgaon. Their office is in Mini Secretariat on the 4th floor.

Ours is an IT company in Kerala, registered as a 100% EOU under the STPI in Trivandrum. Do we need to get registered under the Factories Act or the Shops and Establishments Act?
