Are PF and ESI Required for a Small Agricultural R&D Centre with 6-7 Workers?

I am Kamaljit, working as Sr. Manager - HR in a Pvt. Ltd. Organisation. Please inform me whether ESI & PF are applicable to an Agricultural R&D Centre located outside the factory premises with 6-7 workers. For your information, PF & ESI are applicable in our factory.

Since your establishment/organization is covered under PF and ESI, all your branches and departments all over India, regardless of the number of employees engaged in such branches and departments, will automatically be covered under PF and ESI.

If the R&D center has separate registration and is not linked with your main company, in this case, ESI and EPF are not applicable.
