Hi All,
Our's is a pvt ltd company. Till last year we were working 6 days a week with 2nd & 4th saturday off and used to provide 18 paid leaves in a year / 1.5 leaves in a month.
This year onwards we want to go for 5 days working format. Kindly guide me as how many paid leaves in that case should be allowed.
thanks,

what is the nature of your business. If you are a commercial establishment, you need to rpovide 21 days of annual leave (paid leave) during a calender year as per Bombay Shops and Establishmenst Act.The Act does not permit any relaxation for a five day working establishments.
You may accordingly make necessary adjustmenst like giving off on !st satur day and last Satur day etc. if you feel the employees may combine leave with weekly offs and have prolonged holidays.

You are covered by the Bombay Shops and Establishments Act asuming that the activity of making 3D animations is commercial burt not manufacturing in nature. The Bombay Shops Act rquires an employer to grant 21 days paid leave (annual leave or previlege leave) to employees in a calender year hat comes to one day leave for every 17.5 days roughly. If you provide paid leave at the arte of one day for every 21 dyas, then the total leave comes to only 17.5 days during a calender year which is less than that provided under Bomvbay Shops Act and hence not in accordance with the Bombay Shops Act.
