Worried About Changing Jobs Without Salary Slips? Here's What You Need to Know

If a company did not provide me with salary slips, but I have offer and appointment letters, is there any chance of facing problems in the future if I change companies?

If the company is crediting your salary to your account, that is enough evidence of you working in that company.

Actually, they are crediting that amount to my account. However, one more problem is that for PF accounts, the details of how much they are deducting won't be available in the transaction details. Moreover, we were not provided with our PF account details, and they deducted a significant amount from our salary. So, how can I show the exact details of my salary to another company? Since they are deducting substantial amounts, my take-home pay has decreased significantly. Additionally, the deducted amounts are not specified in the transaction details. How can I demonstrate the original details of my gross salary to my new organization? Please help me; I am very worried.

If the employer is deducting certain amounts from the salary of the employee, the employee is entitled to know what they are and whether they are authorized. Therefore, you can ask your employer to provide you with a payslip detailing the deductions.

Mr. Sivakumar is right. You need to approach your employer and ask them to provide a salary certificate, which will give you the salary breakdown. Additionally, your appointment letter issued by the company should include the salary breakdown as part of the appointment letter. If you have not received it, don't worry; you can ask your employer to provide the salary certificate. If you are still working with the company and seeking new employment, you can provide them with other reasons and request your salary certificate. This will also give you a clear idea about the deductions.

Understanding Deductions

If PF is being deducted from your salary, a maximum amount of 12% of your basic salary can only be deducted. Other deductions may include TDS. Talk to your HR officer and amicably resolve this.

Thank you to all. I asked them to provide my salary slips. They provided them, but PF was not mentioned. Anyway, they have mentioned my original salary and the amount they provided me in cash.
