Struggling to Attract Students for Pro-E Design Training: Any Creative Marketing Ideas?

Hi Friends, I'm working as an HR Executive in an engineering service-based company. The management has decided to implement a training program for students related to Pro-E Designing. They have asked me to set up a batch and also determine the course fee based on the students' requirements. I am currently working on this by sending mass emails and posting free ads on job posting sites, but I have not received any responses. The company is unwilling to invest in brochures and advertisements. Additionally, a major drawback is that our office is located in an outer area, far from colleges. I am under a lot of pressure in this hectic situation. Are there any new ways to gather a database of students? Should I consider other marketing strategies? How can I convey to people that our company is prepared to offer a quality program that would be beneficial for students?

I am not a technical person, so I would not know what the course duration, contents, or student profile will be. However, considering your urgency and desperation, I am venturing to suggest the following, and I hope the same gives you some options to explore:

1. Find out who your competitors are and study their brochures, fee structure, and student profile.

2. Outline the strengths and weaknesses of the competitors.

3. Do a SWOT analysis of your setup.

4. Since not all engineering students will want to do the course or afford it, you must profile the students likely to enroll in your course.

5. In my view, you should try to focus attention on the faculty of the engineering colleges who can influence students to enroll in your institute.

6. You can also try to arrange a guest lecture/demonstration by one of your effective faculty at various engineering colleges.

7. Also, look at options for targeting working professionals who may want to upgrade their skills or acquire new expertise.

I hope these suggestions can trigger more thoughts and strategies to help you attain your objective.
