Confused About PF Transfer? Need Help with Form 13 and Withdrawal Issues

ne.ajay
I applied for the transfer (Form 13) of my PF amount from one account to another account 2 years ago. My previous company is located in Baroda, Gujarat state, and my current working company is located in Hyderabad. I inquired at the Baroda PF office about the status of my PF transfer. They informed me that the issued check has been canceled (without specifying the reason) and advised me to reapply for the transfer. When I asked if it was possible to withdraw the funds now, they explained that it was not an option in this situation and that the only course of action was to reapply for the transfer.

Just a month ago, I switched to another company in Hyderabad. The employees at my previous Hyderabad company are pressuring me to transfer my PF amount to the new company.

My Questions

1. Which PF account number (Hyderabad company 1 or Hyderabad company 2) do I need to mention in Form 13 if I want to transfer the PF amount from my Baroda company?
2. Why is it not possible to withdraw money from the Baroda PF account?

Thank you.

You cannot close the Baroda PF account since you have been employed. A member who is employed in an establishment to which PF applies is expected to transfer the old account to the current one.

Steps to Transfer PF Account

In order to transfer the Baroda account, you have to send Form 13 through the second current employer, and a separate Form 13 shall also be submitted through the present employer to transfer the account of your immediate previous employer. This means that if you want to transfer two accounts, you have to submit two separate Form 13s through the present employer. In both forms, the details of the account with the present employment will have to be shown, and the present employer will sign the forms. Only the previous employment details will change with the details of Baroda employment in one form and the details of Hyderabad employment in the second one.
