Is Earned Leave a Must for Small Companies? Seeking Advice and Rules Guidance

Hi, I'm Devi. I joined a small company that is 5 years old. We have Casual Leave, Sick Leave, Comp Off, Maternity & Paternity Leaves. I just want to know if Earned Leave is necessary to provide. Please share your views and where I can find the rules for this?

Hi Devi, yes, for all companies, Earned Leave (EL) is mandatory as per statutory rules. EL is calculated as 1 EL for every 20 working days. If you check the APSE Act, you will find the EL rules.
