Employee Issue - Acceptance Of Resignation Letter

mohana29
Hello,
am seeking advise. I recently sent a 2 months notice of resignation as per the statndard guideline of my confirmation letter. Till todate i have not received any acceptance of resignation letter from my employer. Further, my superior has requested me to hand all relevant files, etx pertaining to the HR of the company including my access card and keys to my room and requested me to leave the organization.
my question: as i have been requested to leave the organization, is the company not bound to pay my 2 months salary on the day i was asked to leave the organization, if so can i seek redress from the labaour department?
I am from Malaysia.
thank you
Mohana

Dear Ms. Mohana,
Yes, the company is very well bound to its terms to pay you your notice in lieu thereof. Besides, there are some omitted points in your post. let us know to take the best advice from the Cite Seniors -
- When have you resigned?
- Is there any correspondance email or a letter shared to your superiors?
- Why do you think your employer has not accepted your resignation -- please explain?
- Why do you think that you may not negotiate with the HR from the company rather to approach a labour/conciliation officer?
Every point you inflate is magnified to the possible extent to understand and provide you with the bestest of this query.

Hi Sharmila,
thank you for your immediate response. in reply to your questions:
1. Resignation date 18.12.12 - via my official letter which indicated 2 months notice period as indicated in my confirmation letter.
2. i cannot explain why he has yet to reply to accept my resignation.
3. my boss being the chief executive officer will not entertain my request coz he is a man who will not listen to my reasoning or my issues, he is a man of his own principles and he does not like anyone who stands up against him, which i did. the only person i can approach in my organization is the managing director, however, if i do this, the chief executive office will not like this and he keep delaying or even up to the extent he will not release my salary, which he has done to another staff whose last day with the company was in september and till todate the chief executive officer refuses to release the staff's september salary.
Thanks
Mohana

Dear Ms. Mohana,
Please wirte an email to the Managing Director and await his reply for a day or two. If you do not sense any reply, write a letter requesting for relieving you from their end and send it via register post with acknowledgement. If they do/do not acknowledge; it shows that you've a proof of sending the necessary communication to the company. You can approach the local conciliation officer from the labourdepartment from that region/ area where the company is located. Emit him with all the details (correspondance) to approach the employer for been imminent in not releasing/ relieving you from your duties. The labour officer will have your concern resolved.
