Both streams (finance and HR) offers good career prospects.
One thing, Finance people I have seen then always calculating (even to speak  ) and need documentary proof for every thing. Job will be very mechanical doing accounting. auditing, budgeting, taxation etc you need to strict to rules of the govt and the institutes. Take examples of Auditors - CA's . they are the most boring people who study voluminous books always quoting sections (like Lawyers) following the standards etc. and they do not accept anything new - reluctant to change.
HR is interesting, lively. You can meet good people, gain good experience in managing the human resources. You will hire retain motivate people. There are labour rules that an organisation or the management to adhere to. Training help to develop the skills of staffs.
make your choice based on your interests, don't go by what others say or recommend to you based on thier personal experience.
thanks
