I think if u r good with the numbers, why not take finance. U have much more higher prospect in finance as there are many scopes in this line. I would suggest taking finance.

Hi Ashu
I think then u should opt for HR but from the beginning keep a track on which of the HR stream u want to concentrate. i.e. Placement/recruitment, HR generalist, consulting, etc. This will help u to get a suitable job.

Both streams (finance and HR) offers good career prospects.

One thing, Finance people I have seen then always calculating (even to speak  ) and need documentary proof for every thing. Job will be very mechanical doing accounting. auditing, budgeting, taxation etc you need to strict to rules of the govt and the institutes. Take examples of Auditors - CA's . they are the most boring people who study voluminous books always quoting sections (like Lawyers) following the standards etc. and they do not accept anything new - reluctant to change.

HR is interesting, lively. You can meet good people, gain good experience in managing the human resources. You will hire retain motivate people. There are labour rules that an organisation or the management to adhere to. Training help to develop the skills of staffs.

make your choice based on your interests, don't go by what others say or recommend to you based on thier personal experience.

thanks

I will also suggest you to go for the HR . if You have Good Communication Skills. you Know Their are so many chances in the HR Field . Both the Field have importance.but if you like to meet people and to judge their Quality. Then You should go only for the HR.
I Think HR Department is like a monitor of the Class.
Now its Yours Decision.
thanks

Hi Anshu,
A very vital decision, its a turning point of your life as well as career.
Both HR and Finance are excellent, as i am from HR i will definitely go into raptures over HR, but Finance is also a good field with lots of scope.
No one can answer your question except you, because each one of us will give you advice on the basis of our experiences and choices. Both feild are responsible feilds only the major difference is in Finance you will deal only with figures, but in HR you will deal with people.
I hope you got my point.

Dear Anish,
First of all any individual choosing their field he should have immense interest in that particular area. There should not be any double mind in this. According to me if you are good in numbers better take finance. or if you would like to meet different people and to learn different language and solving employees grievances, training and developing people then you can take HR. And any job you do work with love and affection you will be a successful man in your profession.
