Seeking Advice on Career and CAT Preparation

My name is Gaurav Verma. I am an Electrical Engineer with 1.7 years of experience in handling power projects for thermal power plants and up to 400 kV switchyards. Currently, I have joined TIMES Coaching for CAT preparation. However, due to my professional commitments, I am unable to dedicate sufficient time for preparation as my workplace is 40 km away from my coaching institute. I am actively searching for a job in the NCR region but have not been successful so far. I am open to negotiating on salary as well.

I am contemplating taking a break to focus on preparing well for my CAT exam. I seek advice from seniors on this matter, and I appreciate any help in advance.

With regards,
Gaurav Verma

Your thought direction is definitely valid and appropriate, given that CAT preparation does need full-time attention and concentration. However, a lot depends on whether you should take a break and go the whole hog, mainly on your financial situation. If you don't have any major need to earn at this point in time, then go ahead and all the best.

TS
