Dear Swati....
All esteemed members are.giving appropriate replies and helping.u.out
Infact your problem is not about time, you have keen desire to become a trainer, councellor, both are good careers as well,if.you are not feeling comfortable at this stage after pgdbm n 2.6yrs of.woking,it shoes.your hidden spark.to change the trade and u r finally in.stage to switch,
i.would.suggest you that you can opt your desired tradeand do not leave your studies,it might be litle tough but do job ad study in combinrd time,by this u will keep gaining experience ehile earning.for livelihood as well as you will continue your studies alsi.
As day by day u cant wait for right time as you never know what is the exact time to switch?
Keep updating your self by journls, informations, updations in terms of training.or counselling profession, that will keep and attract you to wards new trade of training.
Best Wishes

Dear Swati

I have been reading this blog for some time but never commented on any of the postings. This is my first.

I am from Malaysia, BTW.

Let me tell you what I went through. perhaps you can pick a point or two.

I graduated as with a MSc in Microbiology (!) from Tamil Nadu. Couldn't get a suitable job so I joined a semiconductor company (!) as a manufacturing supervisor. I picked up some management skills, through self study and attending trainings/ lectures. I got fed up with the hassle in manufacturing and grabbed an internal vacancy as a training officer. I did not know much about training but I knew how to handle people. Wen on to get a Cet. in Training and development and to cut the story short., over 15 years I grew and am now an internal training consultant for a manufacturing company and cover 3 countries.

What I learnt is : Consider what you really wwant to do. Jump in. keep learning.

You will make it (you must of course believe it first) .

Best wishes. ps. Read the book : Follow your heat by Andrew Matheu. It may inspire you.

Happy New year.
