Employee Engagement Activities For Manufacturing Plant

Dear Syboriba,
Thanks for the interest. You can find quite a few articles at my website designed to advance knowledge and a book that tells it all in great detail, perhaps too much. I am presently creating a 6 hour online course for executives and managers teaching exactly what to do and not do and why the right actions are right and wrong ones are wrong.
Best regards, Ben

Dear Ben
One of your earlier queries on 'What is 5 S ' had gone unanswered.
I think it refers to the Japanese method of systematic practice.
There 5 words beginning with S in the Japanese language and often
the short form of 5 S is popular.
They stand for
1 S Sort
2 S Set
3 S Shine
4 S Standardize
5 S Sustain

Thanks for that, V.Raghunathan. I had not come across that before.
It seems that my reply is too short, so I am adding a few words to get it posted.
Best regards, Ben

Hi Neha,

It is grat to hear that you have joined a manufacturing unit. Usually in manufacturing every small employee engagement activity is highly appreciated by employees. Below are the list of activities you can do in manufacturing unit:-

1 Safety week in March first week - In this you can do some or the other thing every day. Like You can conduct a painting competition by giving a theme to pass on safety awareness through painting and then keep an exhibition of it. You can also organize few games related to safety awareness. Fire Extinguishers training in it. You can also keep yoga sessions in the safety week and many more things.

2. 5 S Programme: "5S" is a Japanese principal. It is all about keeping your workplace/ shopfloor area clean. You can organize a competition among departments and then declare a winner.

3. Sports Day: It is the most enjoying thing in Factories.

4. Kai zen (Small improvement): You can encourage suggestions from employees for process improvement. You can read more about it online.

5. Apart from all this you can keep Traditional day, Indowesetern day, colour day, secret santa in christmas and many more.

Feel free to email me on mzsmruti@gmail.com if you want any other help.
