How Much Income Tax Should Be Deducted from My Monthly Salary? Need Urgent Help!

Aakashchaudhary
Hi all, I need help on an urgent basis. I am working in a company with a CTC of 480,000 and I joined the company on 2nd April 2012. The salary breakup is as follows:

- Basic: 16,000
- HRA: 8,000
- Special Allowance: 6,350
- Conveyance: 6,800
- Medical: 1,250
- Books & Tele: 1,600

Total: 40,000

PF is not applicable. Can anyone tell me the income tax amount that the company should deduct from my monthly salary?

House Rent Allowance (HRA) Eligibility

Do you pay for house rent? If yes, what is the amount, and do you have the rent receipt? If no, then you can't get the benefit of House Rent Allowance (HRA).

Books and Periodicals Reimbursement

The amount received against books and periodicals can be claimed on submission of bills. Exemption will be as follows:

- Amount received towards reimbursement
- Actual amount spent

Whichever is less of 1 and 2.

I am showing the rent receipt of ₹8,000 per month for rent, but I am not providing receipts for books and telephone bills.

Your annual tax to be deducted is $18,003. The monthly tax is $1,500. Please find attached the PFA and TDS Calculator with your TDS calculation.

Thank you.
