Dear Mr. Moneet Kumar,

A warm welcome to the CiteHR Community!!

The Service tax exemption limit is 10 Lakhs and if it exceeds more than 10 Lakhs you are applicable to pay Service Tax (in FY 2012-13) of 12.36% incl. surcharge & cess per mensem and also can remit them online to the authorities at Tax Department. Sales tax and Value Added Taxes differs from state to state. For Instance, Maharastra State, it is 4% and 5% respectively. Excise Duty is applicable on the final product and is subject to the central VAT on the manufactured product.
