How to Write an Appreciation Letter and Choose a Reward for an Honest Employee?

We would like to issue an appreciation letter to one of our employees who returned a wallet found in company accommodation. The company would like to give him an appreciation letter and a reward. Can anyone forward me a letter format for appreciation? Any suggestions for the prize money?

There can be no better reason than to appreciate someone for their integrity. Targets and performance are awarded to encourage others to emulate such achievements. Please consider honoring the employee in full view of everyone, by leaders of repute, whose presence matters to the employees. It's the acknowledgment of the act that is more important than the letter or any award you may decide to give.
