How Can We Effectively Engage Interns and Ensure Their Commitment Post-Training?

rryadav
Dear All, I am working as an HR professional with a software company in Mumbai, focusing on niche technologies. This year, we are planning to recruit interns with the intention of providing them with a full-time job opportunity upon successful completion of their project. As the organization will be investing in training and nurturing the interns during their project, we expect a commitment of at least 1-2 years from the candidates after they join us for full-time employment.

Engaging Interns: Options and Considerations

To ensure the success of this initiative, please suggest different options for engaging the interns. Should we consider introducing an employment bond? If yes, kindly suggest the process for implementing the bond and share a sample bond agreement template.

Thank you,

Discussion on Employment Bonds

This topic was discussed in a different context - Breaking of Bond - in this forum many times earlier. Please see at the right of this thread; you will find some of the earlier postings. Alternatively, you can use the 'Find Info' feature at the top of this screen page. I suggest reading through them, and you will get an idea of how to handle the bond, which, per se, is NOT illegal as long as you have ALL the training documentation in place.

All the best.

Regards,
TS
