Navigating PF Withdrawal: How Can I Claim My PF from a Previous Job in Kolkata?

kishanmechanical@gmail.com
1 year ago, I switched to another company by resigning only, but I didn't try to claim my P.F. amount. I worked for 2 years in the previous company, which belongs to Kolkata, West Bengal. My PF number starts with WB/.

You can take the help of your present company's HR. Alternatively, you can take a printout of forms 19 & 10C from epfindia.com, fill out the forms to the best of your ability and knowledge, and then send them to your previous company. They will process the forms from there.

Just sign Form No. 19 & 10 C (two signatures on each form, one plain and another on a revenue stamp). Along with the signed forms, attach a copy of your bank passbook front page showing the account number, branch address, etc., and send them to your previous employer, asking them to process the PF settlement.

If necessary, please include your bank name, IFSC code, MICR number, and branch address on a separate sheet to assist them in completing the forms. The amount will be directly credited to your bank account.

If you are an employee with a company covered under the PF Act, then don't withdraw it. Get it transferred to your new account by submitting Form-13. It will increase your eligible service for all purposes. It is not advisable to withdraw if there is a change in employment.
