Struggling to Claim Your PF? Here's What to Do When Your Employer Hasn't Paid Up

brinda_vasudeva@yahoo.co.in
I was working in a company and had PF deducted for 13 months. However, they have not paid PF for the last 4 years (before that, they paid regularly). I have my PF number on my payslip, but my number was not registered with the PF office. Since they have not paid, I am unable to claim my PF amount. Is there any other way to claim PF?

Your clarification reflects that the company was not depositing the PF amount deducted from employees and that it also relates to the company not adding their contribution towards PF. As you have mentioned that you inquired at the PF office and found out that you are not registered with the PF office, it means that your company has violated the PF Act. According to central regulations, they may take strict steps against your company. Please suggest to your company to repay your deducted contribution towards PF.

I am Ramesh, a consultant. Please see the attachment. You should go to your PF office and submit a complaint with a xerox copy of your payslip reflecting your PF deduction to the commissioner. Your concern will be addressed promptly.
