Validity Of First Aid Training

Dear All,
Please let me know what is the validity of First Aid training under factories act.
We have trained our employees in first aid three years back. Does their first aid training still valid or we need to have some refresher course for them.
I would like to know the section no. and the act under which the validity for first aid training is mentioned.

You should see the effectiveness of the training imparted.
You can create the mock trials and see for yourself if refresher training is required.

Exactly. Amit, as Mr.Sudhir, has put it, it is how well the employees respond to even mock drills depends a lot on the conclusion to be taken up, whether they require a refreshers course or not. And moresoever, it is the readiness with which the response is coming forward that matters most in this context. So just conduct a mock drill of injuries and see how your employees fare.

Dear Amit,
If you have given the First Aid Training to the employees through St. John Ambulance or any other reputed Authorized Training. They issue the training certificate, which clearly mention that the certificated is valid till 3 years from the date of training.
After 3 year, you need to train the employees through First Aid refresher training.

Added to Mr. Avinash, I understand if an employee certified for two time or three times of 3 years each, St. John ambulance will provide special certificate. This valid forever.
Please check with St. John Ambulance.

I have enquired at St.John Ambulance, Mumbai office. But they are saying there is no such kind of provision to provide Special Certificate which will be valid forever even if an employee is certified for 2 or 3 times of 3 years each.
If you have anything in writing then please post on the Citehr, so that we can take follow up of the same with St. John Ambulance Mumbai office.

ASSESSMENT

The student will be undergoing continuous assessment upon completion of each module. The final examination will be conducted upon completion of the complete module. The final exam will consist of a written examination of 2hrs and a practical assessment. The candidate will be awarded diploma if he/she secure a minimum of 45% each in theory and practical.

VENUE

HIST office in Chennai(DOOR NO A9, THIRD FLOOR, SAENA CIRCLE, 29/9 DURAISWAMY ROAD, T-NAGAR, CHENNAI-17). The course can be conducted at client premises as well, provide number of delegates are more than 20 Numbers

MEMBERSHIP GRADE

Successful candidates will be eligible for MIIRSM (full member) from IIRSM, UK.

Training is a regular process where practice makes a difference. However for validating the first aid Training of employees time limit is 3 years. They should approach respective training agency for validating their First Aid certificate.
