Hi Sathi, I have not worked with salary sheets, but I have experience with attendance sheets, and here's what you can do. Since I work with a smaller firm, we use Excel to store the data. I have a sheet that provides the current month's attendance details, with employees' names on different rows. Every month, this data is copied and pasted into an annual attendance sheet.
Monthly Attendance Tracking
At the beginning of each month, I mark all Sundays (weekly offs) and list the company holidays. I use different colors and alphabets to represent various situations:
- A: Absent
- SL: Sick Leave
- CL: Casual Leave
- PL: Privilege Leave
- LP: Leave Without Pay
- B: Business-related absence
- L: Late Entry
- H: Half day
I also track the number of late marks per employee and generate a department-wise graph, which is distributed to all employees.
I hope this information proves useful to you.
