This is a very small but effective presentation that one seldom comes across. As you rightly mentioned, criticism produces a repelling tendency. Once we overcome the initial period of discomfort, we start thinking about it. In difficult times, to suppress their reaction, I have seen some people count from 1 to 10 before they speak out or interact. If there are very disturbing emails, allow an overnight hibernation, provided you have time on your side. Otherwise, take an hour out to see it afresh. When viewed calmly, many times we observe that there is scope for improvement in ourselves. Of course, after a quiet analysis, if we find we are right, the best way is to ignore the criticism. The PowerPoint presentation offers good learnings.
