Dear Mr.Prasad,
As there is major challenge in updating the ciriculum / sylabus of our education system. It consumes it's own time. Market is changing on weekly / daily basis & corporates need to copup with this change. And our education system changes on 3-4 yearly basis that too to the tune of 20-22%. Hence there is a huge gap between the corporet expectation & the education ciriculam.
We need to update according to the rquirments of the corporates by updating ourself through new concepts needed by the profesion we wish to. Only then we will have the skilled, educated & employable graduates.
Some skill required are like Adv. Excel, Financial Modeling & Valuation, Business Analyst SPSS / SAS, Six Sigma, Kaizen, TPM, TQM, Tool & Die Making, Soft skills is most needed, etc.

Hats off to all those members especially Mr Sundarkumar, Mr Sripathy and Mr Nitin
who have correctly identified the current pressing needs.
They are taking it up further by making the new entrants ready.
It is indeed a laudable step.
Industries as well as the new entrants, will both find such initiatives are beneficial to them.
Whenever anyone leaves an organization, one of the challenging tasks is to find out an effective replacement.
It will continue to be a daunting scenario when experienced persons leave.
However when people with less experience leave, the attrition in these segments will get partly addressed.

Dear Prasad,
I do not know what you do and how much freedom you have in changing the curriculum, etc., to help the students. Kindly take a look at http://hud.ac.uk <link fixed> http://www.fas.ie/en/pubdocs/SoftSkillsDevelopment.pdf
and Curriculum | Providing Real Opportunities for Income through Technology
While working in a university, we had tried to incorporate certain skills into regular modules as students were not prepared to attend classes when they were run as separate modules (not assessed).
