Is It Normal to Receive a Letter of Intent Without a Contract in Dubai Job Offers?

I had applied for a job in Dubai, on the basis of which the company has sent me a letter of intent after my interview clearance and medical. The letter of intent has my CTC details, leave details, and joining information; however, it doesn't mention anything about the contract that was agreed upon at the time of the interview.

I have been informed that I will be receiving my work visa by the end of the month, and the joining letter will be provided on the day I join the company. Is this the correct procedure?

You need to contact them and have a talk regarding the same. Maybe they do not want to take you on contract terms and conditions. That means there is no specific mandatory time fixed for you to stick in the company; you may leave whenever you want if you cannot adjust to the environment. Also, inquire about the terms and conditions upon leaving the company if it is not mentioned already.

An employment contract is usually provided only upon your joining the organization, outlining the terms and conditions of employment, accommodation, transportation, etc. A Letter of Intent or Offer Letter signifies a mutual understanding between you and the prospective employer regarding the job confirmation. This practice is typically followed here, so there is no need to panic.

Furthermore, you have not mentioned the terms and conditions discussed with the employer. Without this information, we cannot ascertain whether they will be included in the offer letter or contract.
