Hello Mr Dilip,
it is a good article.
The author( Mr Dileep Ranjekar) has echoed a common misgiving in Indian Societies.
One of the latest movies "English Vringlish" portrays actress Sridevi in a similar plight.
Everyone in her house seem to take her for granted, whereas an unknown French man,
nevertheless, a nice human being, gives her the recognition that she deserves.
There is also a contra view to the subject.Traditional Indian families do not seem to mind it.
There are many who feel that within a house it would be too formal and if stretched might look
even artificial.
The midway approach should possibly be the best in which the warmth within the family is not lost
as much as some is not taken for granted all the time.

I had read about this story while in school. A man thanked his cab driver to keep his calm in the worst of traffic and to drive him safe to his work. He thanked an on-the-way construction employee who did not accidently dropped cement on him. His friend asked him why did he thank the people. He said that we forget to acknowledge and appreciate the fact that someone just did something for us. And apart what did it cost me to thank them? Nothing. Instead it made me feel good enough and it also made their days... Perhaps the frustration of the work would be eased by this plain thankyou and he would not take it to his home. Gratitude always helps. Loved it. :) Thanks for the share.

Being your ex colleague I would like to suggest something which will help you in your future.
Do not take people and your work for granted. Don't get influenced by others quickly and same time don't force others to get influenced by you. I have learnt a lot from you in my past three years carrier in IA and that only forced me to put this message. Once again all the best and stay healthy
