New HR Dilemma: How Can I Quickly Resolve 8-Month Delay in PF and ESIC Submissions?

Preeti Shukla
I am the new HR in my current company, and I have recently discovered that the company has not submitted PF and ESIC for the last 8-9 months. Could you kindly advise me on how I can expedite the submission process?

Regards,
Preeti

Please talk to the principal employer and explain what the consequences need to be if ESIC and PF contributions are not paid. Do you have a consultant for this? If so, could you ask them how to resolve these issues as soon as possible?

If not, do you know how to upload employee details on the ESIC portal?

For further information, please let me know.

Hi Preeti, even now, you should submit for ESI & PF. The only thing is you should pay the interest for that period. Now, filing for both ESI & PF is easy. Everything you should submit online itself.

Thank you both for the replies. I am a bit worried about ESIC because its last date is November 11, from what I know. As I am new to the HR field, I am facing difficulties. I have had a conversation with my employer and informed them that we may have to pay interest. What should be the next step? I have visited the website epfinda and also explored online submission options, but I am still unsure how to proceed with the submission.

Employee PF Contribution Discontinuation

Could you also help me understand what to do if an employee wishes to discontinue their PF contribution starting from December?

Claiming PF for a Deceased Ex-Employee

Another situation I am dealing with is that the son of a deceased ex-employee wants to claim his father's PF. How should I proceed with this matter?
