Pay roll System and other important HR Functions

I want to know about the pay roll system. In my organisation, I handle other HR related functions, like attending of labour hearings at labour court, ESI registrations, Building and Other Constructions Workers (BOCW) cess and admin duties, but now I want to become HR professional.
