Hi Ramila,

If I'm not mistaken, PeopleSoft and Oracle are also ERPs like SAP. Kindly advise if they are comparable and work along the same lines?

Chetna

Dear Chetna,

SAP, BAAN, JD Edwards, Oracle Financials, Siebel, PeopleSoft. among all the ERP's most of the companies implemented or trying to implement SAP because of number of advantages Over other ERP packages.

thauy are comparable and can be worked under the same line , in detail the type of DBS and the O/S you are using..

people soft:

The company's suite of products is based on pure Net architecture, allowing every user to conduct business in real-time.Because of this Internet base, PeopleSoft applications are installed only on the server side, with no code residing on individual PCs or laptops. Therefore, installations and updates can be completed much faster than with competing products

oracle:[u]

The company's suite is designed so that all corporate data resides in a single place. The Oracle suite is also designed to be highly modular while still operating off of a set of core processes.

[u]DIFFERENCE[u]

Each company does have traditional areas of strength. SAP performs well in manufacturing, while PeopleSoft targets the service industries, and Oracle is better known for financial services and consumer products

I have completed SAP-HR and am currently seeking opportunities to work in this field. Could you please guide me if there are any companies willing to hire freshers in SAP, so that I can reach out to them? I hope to receive your guidance on this matter.

Thank you.

Hi Ramila,

Thanks for the information about ERPs. I would like to ask you, as I am an MBA marketing professional currently working as an ASM in a manufacturing company, about learning the SAP SD module. Do you have any advice on this subject?

Thanks & Regards,
Omer
