Can Leaving My BPO Job Due to Health Issues Affect My Future IT Career?

mindfreak007
Hello, I am a B Tech (IT) student. Currently, I am working in a BPO which is NASSCOM registered. I have a serious health issue for which I have to undergo an operation. This means I cannot continue my job and also cannot serve a notice period, so eventually, I have to abscond. I have not done any NSR registration; I have only provided my final year mark sheet and PAN card number to the BPO. In the future, I would like to work in the IT industry. So, is it possible that the BPO can blacklist me? If yes, then how? Will it affect my IT career in the future?

My suggestion is to just get out of this idea of 'Absconding'. You may speak to your manager/HR and seek disengagement on medical grounds. Hope you can produce health reports/consultation details as substantial evidence towards the request.

Running any business requires people, and both parties need to nurture the relationship and, if required, end the relationship in a professional manner. Please note that many business owners are forced to collect certificates, bond kind of documents, etc., because of absconding and similar irresponsible acts on behalf of employees.
