Introducing a Verified Company Representation Program
I'm thinking about adding a verified company representation program, which will allow companies to send official representatives into the community both for company promotions and for goodwill building.
As I see it, just posting company profiles into discussions is never going to build any recognition or goodwill. Moreover, the account will get moderated and removed. To be truly part of a knowledge base, the knowledge needs to be showcased by the company.
When good, helpful posts are made by the companies, it not only immediately shows them as a progressive and likable company, but it also builds their influence in this knowledge base community.
The posts of material and advice posted by them are seen over and over by thousands of users, and that builds their credibility in the long run and brings them business repeatedly.
Proposed Subscription Model Features
What we propose is a subscription model which will allow companies the following features:
- A special signature - properly structured and more visible
- Signature consultation from us to create a much more useful signature with direct company profile downloads
- A "Verified Company Representation" tag near the username
- Hovering over the tag would display special information about the company above the post they made
- Low-cost subscription - Rs. 300 or $6 per month
Note, however, that this will in no way mean that the companies will be above the laws of moderation here. Any repeat posting or spam promotions will immediately get their account removed.
The account can be maintained by the company and can be taken care of by anyone in the company. The company name would become the username, and the companies will have the ability to edit and improve their replies to queries.
I request our seniors and company owners to reflect on the idea and let me know if they have any suggestions.
