Pf Challan Calculation Through E Returns

Dear chirag
I think you have to pay both employee and employer share.
you need to download epfo software from epfo site. Installation manual is also available there.
Install it n just feed 12% & 20% contribution n generate the ECR file.

no its not necessary to use e return tools for monthly,, u can use your own format(excel , other softwer etc ) but main thing is that your text file generate as per ecr format given by epfo

Dear chirag
It is possible to pay employee share only. Along with employee share you have pay some portion of administrative charges and edli charges. In the ecr file make other coloums like eps, employer"s share etc to zero and upload the file. As suggested by mr.Anil kumar you can prepare two challans also one for employee and another one for staff.

It is mandatory under the EPF scheme to deposit employees contribution along with employers contribution otherwise non-deposit of employers contribution will attract penalty.
In respect of e-return, I M not conversant so unable to comment.

Dear Members / Seniors,
I have also one doubt i hope so, you can help me in this matter
At the time of initial registration the Employer made a mistake in entry of Employee Code number and and made entries of wages and ECR file was uploaded in the month of March' 2012, thereafter from the month of April '2012 wages were inserted by actual/original code number. And now it is learnt that even though Employer is depositing the contribution in Employees original number the amount is being deposited in other number the mistake happened in March' 2012. Can the code number of the Employee be corrected now? How and what to do? Pl, advice.....
Regards
